This 90-minute online training event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 9 at 5pm MT. This event is led by trained facilitators from the LGBTQ+ community.

Elena Joy Thurston (she/her)


Elena Joy Thurston is an inspirational LGBTQ+ speaker, trainer, and founder of the nonprofit Pride and Joy Foundation which is dedicated to building self-awareness and safety for LGBTQ+ families and their allies. A Mormon mom of four who lost her marriage, her church, and her community when she came out as a lesbian, Elena’s viral TEDx talk on surviving conversion therapy has been viewed 40,000+ times and brings a very personal angle to the Pride and Joy Foundation’s suicide prevention trainings.

 
 
 
 
 

Josh Miller (he/they)


Josh Miller is a Mental Health Consultant based in Texas and the co-founder of The Empathy Paradigm, a full-service mental health consulting company specializing in creating trauma-informed and DEI-conscious spaces. His specialties include coming out coaching and allyship development, and he works to empower all individuals to explore and confidently express their identity and beliefs through advocacy for equality, representation, and inclusion.

Anna Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the co-founder of The Empathy Paradigm, a mental health consulting business. As a therapist she works with clients dealing with issues including trauma, identity exploration, religious abuse, relationship issues, and more. Jenna is a trauma-informed Self-Love Coach, Speaker, Holistic Embodiment Educator, Podcaster, and LGBTQ+ Mental Health activist.

Through their work, they aim to promote holistic healing among the LGBTQ+ community (and affirming allies) so they can decondition unworthiness programming and take inspired action in their life, relationships, and business.

 
 
 

Braidyn Browning (they/them)


Braidyn Browning is a Content and Copywriting Consultant for LGBTQ+ owned and allied businesses. Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, Braidyn lived within books and stories that felt more like “home” than the environment around them. Once Braidyn entered the entrepreneurial space, they realized the power of queer storytelling and how sheer visibility could create a home for others too. Braidyn now spends their days traveling the United States with their two dogs in a self-converted van and helps business owners deliver impactful and trauma-informed storytelling for LGBTQ+ folks.
