You’re invited to attend “Prep for Pride Month 2023” with Pride and Joy Parents.  Join other parents and loving adults of LGBTQ+ youth and learn how to make this Pride Month the best ever, while showing your allyship and love all year round. We create a safe space for us to support each other, learn and ask all those awkward questions.

This event is for you if...

  •  Are you a Parent or other Loved One of an LGBTQ+ youth?  You're probably excited to celebrate Pride Month with your family, but also you might feel some pressure on how best to do that.  You'll leave this event with several ways to make Pride Month amazing for your family as well as how to show increased allyship all year round.
  • Are you excited to take advantage of all the affirming experiences that Pride Month has to offer for your LGBTQ+ kiddo? But at the same time, those people in your life that weren’t exactly affirming for your child to begin with, are even louder this year.  How do you navigate celebrating Pride Month with your loved one, while calling in loved ones whose religious beliefs create a wall in your relationship? This can feel like you're being pulled in two opposite directions when religion is a big part of your family culture.  If this sounds like you, you'll want to be with us as we'll definitely cover this topic.
  • Maybe you have a kid in your life who is wrestling with gender identity and you’re feeling extra protective of them this year, considering what’s going on in our country.  Come learn how Pride Month is different for a newly out trans or GNC kid, and what can you do as their adult to make it an affirming and fun celebration.
  • Maybe you're an affirming parent but lots of neighborhood kids that hang out in your home don't have that support.  Join us to learn some ways to celebrate Pride Month and create a safe space for your community.

Join us on Tuesday, May 16th at 4 pm PST/5 pm MST/6 pm CST/7pm EST, on Zoom. Suggested donation of $12 or Pay What You Can. Premium Access includes a copy of the Color Me Queer coloring book, a perfect Pride gift!
